The book “Horology” by Barry B. Kaplan is a great one.
I can learn many things I have been curious about in this book. It has many great graphics and illustrations, along with detailed explanations of watches and watchmaking.
It is also inspiring. For example, when I turned to the section about watch movement, I found this quote by C.S. Lewis.
“For the Present is the point at which time touches eternity.” — C.S. Lewis
I don’t know why, but this is touching to me.
