Sam's Odyssey 101

Watched The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan with my parents today.

Odyssey is in my blog site name, too. I chose it because I feel like I have a long journey. I was born in Maryland, USA. I was raised in Seoul, Korea. Now, I live and study in the Geneva area, Switzerland. By the time I graduate from my school and leave this country, where will I head to? Honestly, I don’t know.

I watched it in IMAX in Seoul. The screen was not as large as I expected, but it was not bad since our seats were close to the screen. The movie was great.

Odysseus made a lot of mistakes. But during the long journey, who would remain perfect? People ate a god’s cow although they heard it would mean their death. Later, when they faced death, they prayed to the god. This looks silly, but it is probably human nature.

Odysseus’ life was a long journey full of events. It was painful, but he managed to go home. It would have been easier if he had not left home in the first place. But I am not sure which life would be better for him or for me.
